Pics from 6 & 7 Feb

Whilst I suspect blogging may be so last week now there are waves, and as my blog isn't well publicised I though I would have a go with these photos.
Bumped into BenG on the way down to Main Beach he was keen to get in. I managed to convince him we would be mad to try and go out on longboards with our surfing talents, fortunately Joss helped me out with these waves to put it all in perspective. Not sure how long he had it to himself.

If you could surf a bit closer next time you were a bit far away!
So we decided to go somewhere smaller, and fortunately it was. I had a rubbish surf but at least got wet.

Ended the day at Combesgate, the Sun wasn't making it the easiest place for pictures, but made for some interesting light.

Met up with Ste that evening and he convinced me that the Sun would be shining again the following morning so getting up early was the order of the day to try and get a picture of the elusive and camera shy Nick Lloyd.
Unfortunately it turns out Ste isn't even as good as Michael Fish and it was dull and misty making for tricky camera conditions. Fortunately modern technology just about saved the day although the shutter speed was a bit on the slow side.
Plus due to his hangover, Ste was particularly slow and I had to watch Lloydy get barrelled from the layby and didn't get any pics

Did Ste forget to stand up or was he just incapable after the night before?

A swift change of venue, someone said something about there being rocks in the way. Fortunately it was getting slightly brighter.

Nearly Ste, if only you were a bit smaller

It was almost like Lloydy was strangely drawn to something before this move

Anyway back to Wooly and so uninspired by my recent surfing and recurring shoulder pain, I gave it a miss and came home.
