The Reeds Croyde
Sarah and Rob Tucker would like to welcome you to ‘The Reeds’, an impressive bungalow designed for up to six people with a contemporary edge situated on the corner of Moor Lane and Pathfields, Croyde with spectacular views over the dunes and bay.
Refurbished specifically for the holiday market, our ethos and single desire was to create a holiday home which soothes the soul, is very calming and affords those that stay a feeling of spacious modernity. It is light and bright inside and its’ unique location with panoramic views across the village, to the dunes and sea beyond is captured from the large decked south facing terrace which runs the length of the property. The property was recently awarded a 5 star rating by Visit Britain, something we are very proud of.
The Reeds’ will fulfill all your holiday dreams, boasting access onto the decked area from both the living room and the kitchen / breakfast room enabling you to follow the sun from sunrise to sunset.
The entrance porch is also a useful storage area for walking boots, coats etc and there is a convenient cloakroom, with WC off the hallway. Once across the threshold, the beautiful oak floors are complimented with rugs. In the lounge, comfy sofas surround a stylish futuristic electric fire and for your enjoyment there is Sky TV, DVD, CD and MP3 player.
A generously equipped kitchen / breakfast room with travertine tiled floor includes electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washer / dryer and dishwasher with strategically positioned seating enjoying a fine outlook. The aim of our design is to enable those who stay the ability to eat either indoors or alfresco just as the mood suits. There is also a gas barbeque supplied for those sultry summer evenings.
Every effort has been made to ensure you have a great nights sleep ...........zzzzzzzz. There is a well appointed bathroom with travertine tiled floor, bath, WC and shower cubicle. The property is accessed by a gravel drive and is surrounded by a lovely large and mature garden. There are steps from the decked terrace onto the lawns and there is a garden shed for additional storage of surf boards and beach equipment etc. The property enjoys oil central heating and ample off road parking. A well behaved pet is welcome.
Manor Farm Cottage
The larger of the two 16th century oak-beamed thatched cottages situated at Putsborough, a small hamlet half a mile from the multi-award winning Putsborough Sands and one mile from the picturesque and quaint villages of Georgeham and Croyde. The cottage is designed for up to six people and has been refurbished to a high standard. The cottage is surrounded on three sides by secluded gardens for your enjoyment.
Ground Floor:
The front door opens into a small hall with the oak-beamed large lounge / dining room on your left, comfortably furnished as you would expect, including a Radio/Tape/CD player, a TV and a DVD player. From the lounge / diner we enter the well-equipped kitchen, which features an eye-level oven and seperate grill, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, breakfast bar and washing machine. The main bathroom is accessed from the far end of the kitchen featuring a corner bath, walk in shower and WC. Also internally from the lounge / diner, we access the third bedroom furnished with a double bed etc, this bedroom overlooks the delightful western garden. There is a rear door from the kitchen into the gardens, through a well-sized porch, ideal for wellies, coats and surfboards etc!
Up the stairs, there are two bedrooms; one, an extensive double room with two windows overlooking The Manor and Manor Farm, with ensuite shower and toilet, and the other, a cosily furnished twin room. Duvets, linen and towels are provided, however, if preferred sheets and blankets can be arranged. A cot and high-chair are provided as standard when required.
The Thatch Cottage
The smaller of the two adjoining oak-beamed thatched cottages situated at Putsborough. This cottage is designed for up to four people and has been very tastefully updated.. There is also a small-secluded garden on its eastern side, ensuring absolute privacy. Parking is adjacent, or at Manor Farm if you prefer.
Ground Floor:
The front door opens into a hall with the bathroom on your left, featuring a corner bath/ shower, WC and airing cupboard. From the hall we enter the kitchen, which features an eye-level electric cooker, fridge/freezer, hob, dishwasher, microwave, and washing machine. The kitchen has a stable door opening onto the garden, which has garden furniture provided. Internally from the kitchen, we enter a comfortably furnished lounge diner with a Radio/Tape/CD player, a TV and a DVD player. The property is heated with storage heaters throughout.
First floor:
Up the stairs, there are two bedrooms, one with a double and one with two singles. Towels, quilts and all linens,etc are provided.. For those clients, however, who would prefer sheets and blankets, this can be arranged. A cot and high chair are also provided as standard when required.
